37 year-old Luc Delahaye has been covering international crises and conflicts since 1989.

He was a member of Sipa Press and since 1994 he is represented by the Magnum Agency.

Delahaye has already received many awards, among them the Robert Capa Gold Medal (1993), the Paris Match Prize (1992 and 1994) and the World Press Photo Prize (1993 and 1994).

This year’s Oskar Barnack Prize was awarded to Delahaye for a pictorial essay with the title “Winter Journey”: A shocking reportage about alcoholism, dire need and poverty in post-communist Russia.
