Stanley Greene was born in Harlem in 1949 was a black panther and an anti-vietnam activist in his teens
A meeting with W Eugene Smith set him on course to be a photographer.
By chance he wandered into East Berlin as the wall came down and his image made the world's press,
Pushing him away from fashion and into photojournalism.
Now a member of the French agency 'Vu',
He worked for 10 years in Chechnya,
Bringing the horrors of the conflict there to the attention of the world.
